Our Springbrook health retreat offers you a more expanded view of yoga practices in a shared, safe and harmonious environment. The group connection at these retreats allow for support, sharing and caring. You experience inner healing and awareness of body, mind and soul. Approximately one & three quarter hours from Brisbane City, or less than one hour from the Gold Coast, Queensland Australia.
From Brisbane on the Gold Coast Highway, turnoff at Exit 79 (Mudgeeraba). This route winds quite extensively up to the top of the mountain. If you would prefer a road that is more passive then follow the next instruction ...
From Brisbane on the Gold Coast Highway, turnoff at Exit 69 (Nerang). This route eliminates the winding road that Exit 79 presents. Follow the signposts to Springbrook (there is a left turn to be taken, which is signposted 'Springbrook').
At the top of the mountain there is a fork in the road.
Travel a further 2.5kms from this fork.
Take a right turn into the Theosophical Society Retreat driveway. Follow the signs to the Retreat Centre car park.
$100 (1night & 3night) – $200 (5night) – required at time of booking with full payment required 6 weeks prior to retreat.
CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY
Payments are non-refundable. However, if cancellation is received 1 month prior to the event, the payment (less a cancellation fee – 30% of total retreat value) will be held in credit for 12 months, to be used at a future Sunshine Yoga event. A replacement person will be accepted.
It is highly recommended you have travel insurance in case of any unforeseen circumstances that require you to cancel. Sunshine Yoga & Health can arrange the insurance as a complimentary service – approximate cost is $60.

NATURAL THERAPIES
This is an added service provided for additional nourishment and enjoyment. Massage, Osteopathy, Reiki are some of the optional therapies we provide. 2017 – Osteopath, Natalie Moore from the Brisbane Family Clinic will be our therapist. Booking with her prior to the retreat is advisable. Private Health Insurance claims can be made.

Sunshine Yoga & Health’s program is varied and interesting. We offer a more gentle and soft approach to our yoga practices. There is a focus on conscious breath which flows through every moment of your sessions. Another important part of Lyn’s style is the subtle release work to clear the body and mind of tension and toxins. This allows the body to build sustained strength and energy with postures and movement. You are encouraged to work at your own pace and attune to your own body’s needs. Free time, silence time and fun time create the perfect balance for this fulfilling weekend you are about to experience.
EXAMPLE OF 4-DAY RETREAT
DAY 1:
3.00pm to 6.00pm - Registration and settling in with a briefing of the weekend.
6.30pm - Dinner
8.00pm - Meditation before bed then silence until breakfast.
DAY 2:
7:00am - Energisation exercises outside on grassed area

9.30am to 12.30pm - Releasing tension & tightness exercises, pranayama, meditation and relaxation.
Lunch & Free Time (massage available)
3.30pm - Restorative yoga, Yoga nidra

8.00pm - Meditation before bed
DAY 3:
7:00am - Qi Gong exercises outside on grassed area.
Breakfast
9.30am to 12.30pm - A flowing Yoga vinyasa, pranayama,
7:00am - Tai Chi warmup exercises outside on grassed area
plus a bush walk to the waterfall. -
Breakfast and pack up.
10.00am - Flowing movement, Yoga and breathing.
11.30 to 12.00noon - Guided relaxation and farewell circle.
BENEFITS
3nights/4days – for many years this retreat was from Friday to Sunday and for many years the clients would say they did not want to go home yet – 2 nights was just not long enough. We have not heard this comment since creating the extra night from Thursday to Sunday. The benefits are huge – there is enough time to switch off and relax, which is often one of the difficulties for clients.
5nights/6days – coming in on Tuesday to Sunday adds incredible value to your break away from the hustle and bustle of life. You definitely feel like you have had a holiday. It is extremely quiet, with usually only 6 or less people from Tuesday til Thursday. You feel like you have this beautiful place to yourself (and also you have Lyn to yourself - almost!!)
You will return home with renewed energy, a new outlook and a wonderful connection with yourself.
The Springbrook Theosophical Retreat Centre offers single accommodation. However there are two double rooms available for couple. It is ideally situated, nestled on top of the mountain in isolation, surrounded in nature, bird song, incredible peace and quiet.
