Sunshine Yoga and Health offers you a wonderful weekend at Vine & Branches Personal Growth Centre. It is ideally located in Lower Plenty, near Templestowe, only 35 minutes from Melbourne City or the airport.

It has a wonderful country atmosphere. It is a place of peace, reflection and renewal for people searching for meaning and a deeper understanding of their being.

Vine and Branches is a unique venue - a large house set on 5 acres of bush and farm land beside the Yarra River. Rae Cock, owner of this property, opened her home, (now Vine & Branches), when she retired, for continued teaching and support in improving relationships. It was gifted to the community when she passed away. Her dream of making the world a richer place to live continues. A non-profit organisation run by a group of volunteers continues to offer personal development courses along with hiring the venue to other groups who offer similar inspiring courses.

Sunshine Yoga retreats provide you with an expansive range of yoga and health practices. The group connection at these retreats allow for support, sharing and caring, inner healing, with awareness of body, mind, emotions and soul. It is your time to be nurtured... it is precious time out for you. You will take home with you a sense of calm, peace and connection with your beautiful being.

The Program

The yoga program commences after dinner on Friday evening with "getting to know each other" and a meditation before bed and finishes 1.00pm on Sunday.

Lyn offers daily structured sessions of:
    • early sunrise energisation & tai chi warm-ups  • a variety of yoga postures and routines  • breathing techniques  • an introduction to qigong • breathing techniques  • guided relaxations and meditation  • silence • river walks  • free time for resting or enjoying nature • support and guidance

Accommodation

The retreat features twin-share rooms with the possibility of non-share, depending on the client numbers. Shared bathrooms and dining area. You are required to provide your own sheets, pillow slip and towel.  The features are:

    • comfortable and homely  • centrally heated  •  tea/coffee/herbal tea facilities • single, twin or triple share rooms • single beds  • shared bathrooms • gumtrees and dam views  • Yarra river walks

Meals

All meals are provided and include:

    • nutritious fresh-cooked mostly vegetarian selections  • special dietary needs catered for, where possible  • tea, coffee, herbal teas available, self serve  • all meals served in the dining room • self-serve continental breakfast

Rates & Specials

Small groups (up to 10 people) enhance the enjoyment and nourishment received and experienced on this special retreat.

A $200.00 deposit is required at the time of booking with full payment 4 weeks prior to the retreat. Payments are non-refundable. However, if cancellation is received 1 month prior to the event, the payment (less a cancellation fee - 30% of total retreat value) will be held in credit for 12 months, to be used at a future Sunshine Yoga event. A replacement person will be accepted.

Normal :

     • Adult twin share AUS$ 540
  • Adult non-share (if available) AUS$ 595


Concession rates are provided for pensioners, students and full-time unemployed. Proof may be required for eligibility.

Massage

Reiki and Massage may be offered by fully trained and highly experienced practitioners. The cost: Reiki $50 per hour session or Massage $90 per hour session. Please indicate your interest when booking.

Inclusions

     • 2 nights accommodation
  • Freshly cooked nutritious vegetarian meals : breakfast, lunch and dinner daily from Friday evening to Sunday morning tea.
  • Yoga tuition which includes postures, specific routines, relaxation/meditation, energisation, qigong, support and fun!
  • Personal client pack, handouts and photo CD of your weekend retreat
