NEW CLASS - Bray Park, commencing 16 July 2008. Small class of up to 8 people only, specialising in a combination of yoga, qigong, weight bearing, meditation & relaxation. The class will flow with the school terms. Bookings essential.

• A yoga mat (rubber non-slip mat - thick 6 mm - available from Sunshine Yoga $35) |

Style of Yoga
Sunshine Yoga is based on the Hatha Yoga principles. However, over four decades of yoga and health practices and training, I have created my own unique style. My motto is "simplicity" and I invite you to "experience the power of gentleness with Sunshine Yoga & Health".
Sunshine Yoga is a system which unifies and blends body, mind, emotions and soul, using breathing techniques (pranayama), postures (asanas), stretching, relaxation and meditation.
You will begin your one and a half hour Brisbane Yoga session with natural breathing using awareness to develop what we call diaphragmatic breathing. Conscious breathing is emphasised throughout the yoga sessions which will help you release tight and tense muscles, joints, ligaments and tendons. Your breath will massage your organs. Your breath will move qi, prana, life force energy.
Conscious diaphragmatic breathing is a positive and proven stress management tool. Wherever you go you take your breath, so I ask "where would you get a more portable tool to de-stress and become calm"? It really is that simple and it is a technique that works brilliantly - every time. The only downfall is that YOU have to do it. During your relaxation/meditation time you will experience intensely how breathing techniques switch off your busy mind and allow you to relax.
Sunshine Yoga 's system is wonderful if you are seeking flexibility, tone and strength. A vast variety of postures (asana's) and yoga movements (vinyasa's) will not only create flexibility but will also increase your energy and vitality. Conscious breathing exercises whilst stretching with yoga postures, releases pain and tightness from your body. You will become centred and focused and experience the wonderful feeling of "being in the moment".
Sunshine Yoga participants will tell you how they relax and de-stress just by listening to the soothing and calming voice which I have developed through my own yoga practices.
I guarantee the effectiveness of the wonderful guided relaxations and meditations you are given at the end of each Sunshine Yoga class. I know this time to be the most pleasurable part of the class for the majority of clients. It's called "bliss"!
My experience confirms it is true that even after one session of Sunshine Yoga you will feel the positive results. This system benefits so many people, from all walks of life.
